Olympic National Forest
This is the only photo I have of this stretch of the hike. I was taking many fewer photos then, partly because I didn't want to use up my one or two small memory cards. I think it also took some time to get over the old notions of "film" being expensive and my needing to ration the photos. How times change. Anyway, this is the creek we crossed on a hike from the Lake Quinault Uodge to a really gigantic old-growth tree. The only way was to shinny across a very slick slanted log or get completely wet. I remember Lee telling me to think like a monkey, because they don't fall. Strange, but it worked.

As you know, I love to hike in this kind of forest. You only needed one photo here, it's perfect.
That's what I like about Lee, he's always monkeying around!
But, hey, if it worked.
Nice shot of an idyllic setting. I even like all that green moss.
Now I feel like eating a banana, for some reason...
It was a wonderful day and hike. I knew you could do it and the tree was magnificent.
This spot is amazing, so beautiful!
