Skylight over the Mall
Rome ~ April 15, 2004Today's post shows the ceiling above yesterday's mosaic floor. It seemed like a pleasant mall, but we didn't shop. We were on a long walk back to the hotel from the Ancient Forum, and I believe this mall was the shortest distance between two points. I don't know how much, if any, is real light from the sky - you can see the bulbs.

Christmas colors on New Year's Eve
Governor Hotel, Portland, Oregon ~ December 31, 2008The ceiling "skylight" (which actually has bulbs in it) in the lobby was magnificent. The colors were so festive and Christmas-like, and the adjoining restaurant was still in holiday decor.
