Caught Short?
On Valentine's Day this pair seems to be sharing a dilemma at least, if not a romantic moment. When I took the photo on Oxford Street, I thought it might be giving us the number to call when toilet paper ran short ("caught short" seems to imply that), which I found to be a common occurrence in the busy London loos. But no. When I got home and looked at the photo, I realized it was an ad for a cool English innovation which I had read about, intended to try, and then forgotten. You can text the word "toilet" to a particular number and get the location of the nearest public convenience! How wonderful is that? We should set that one up in the U.S.
