Amazon River, Brazil ~ April 27, 2007
Life along the Amazon is all about boats - big boats and small boats. Someone certainly lives here, as you can see the small shack among the trees. The boat in front would be like seeing a person's car parked in the driveway. The owner may catch a few fish for market.

The Amazon has always been a very spooky place for me although I've never been there...but the photos have this kind of dark, foreboding aura about them...and I know the river's filled with crocs and piranha.

Serene photo and actually thought-provoking. How different the owner of the boat is from most of us. The daily activities of his life is so far removed from our hubbub. No electricity for the alarm clock and coffee maker at his shack!
