Looking more like something designed by Louis Sullivan for construction in Chicago, this imposing Romanesque building cannot help but catch one's attention as they pass by. When I looked it up online, I found Stan Rule's blog, which in turn links to a PDF file about the building's history. (Gotta love the Web, yes?) You might also enjoy Port Townsend Daily Photo.

impressive building really important!!!!!!!!!!
neat old building. I'd love to see the woodwork inside.
That is an impressive courthouse, with the arched windows and the turrets on the sides. And thanks for reminding me of why I love technology. [I've been fighting hardware battles all week.)
Hi Sheryl...
Yes, it's been hard and it continues. Denise is doing quite well...but I'm not so good yet, Lois is feeling poorly and Gary is acting like he's sick, too.
I'm just hoping we're well enough to get out of here next Tuesday!
I'm trying to do a little catch-up today but it wears me out.
I do like this magnificent building...it is reminiscent of buildings I remember from places like Duluth and Minneapolis (and Chicago!)...
I'm not sure if one sees the Sangres from Buena Vista...can't remember...
Hope you're doing well. Your beautiful bear is keeping tabs on us and that helps make things "bearable." :-)
Imposing indeed. Wonderful architecture!
