This unassuming church, built on the Piazza Vescovado, the main square of Ravello, in the 11th Century and renovated in 1786, contains a surprising interior. My first blog post showing the inside of the church features Byzantine lions holding up one of the two 13th Century pulpits. Today on my Animal Art Along the Way blog, I'm posting two mosaic peacocks on the other pulpit.

I like the nice clean lines of this building. There is definitely something animalistic about it, though! ;-)
