Train at South Junction

South Junction, Central Oregon ~ June 2, 2005

There's nothing like being right up close when they come rumbling and screeching through. In this case, you can't see the scenery, but the wild and daunting Deschutes River lies at the bottom of a slope on the right. This photo is also dedicated, and you know who you are.

I know that sound.... Great how you captured the setting sun on the side of the train.

Talk about a dramatic shot! I can almost hear the roar of the train on those tracks!

I remember the first photography class I ever took. In it, the instructor told us to NEVER take photos into the sun. I didn't agree with him then, and I don't agree with him now...
For instance, this shot...the sun and the reflection of it shining off of those train cars is amazing!
