Bougainvillea? Pretty but pretty deadly around a vinyl swimming pool!They did here in the winter, but thrive in south Florida.

We have a big old Bougainvillea and I have the thousand scars on my skin to prove it...
I'm quite sure this is not bougainvillea, but I'm not sure what it is. I thought the flower with the fuzzy stem was sort of like a begonia, but it probably isn't that, either.
