Flood Waters near Tucson

Flooding in Sabino Canyon near Tucson - The Beginning of our HikeSabino Canyon, Arizona ~ December 30, 2004

We got our feet wet, although many who had taken the bus (tram? open bus?) hoping to reach the trailhead did not venture past the watery roadblock. Although it had rained hard the night before, it turned out to be a beautiful day with perfect weather for our hike in Sabino Canyon, north of Tucson.

Is that Lee out there leading the pack? Gorgeous day, indeed! Where is Sabino Canyon. We lived for some years in Arizona but I just don't remember the name.

Re Kotobuki's - the restaurant just moved to this location...I had no idea what it was at first until I took a closer look. I have a feeling they may do some additional "decorating" on the front.

This reminds me of the day I crossed the border from Nepal to Tibet. The road had just vanished and we had to walk for 12 hours with torrents happening everywhere around us! It was really scary but a experience of a lifetime.
