There are a lot of naturally-weathered features out there. I'm not sure where the main digging takes place, or if they mostly wait until fossils are exposed. The area is gigantic, and I believe they actually have two or three visitors' centers. There is a supervised area where the public can dig for smaller fossils. We didn't even begin to see the whole area. In a sec I will link to another part of the area with a beautifully weathered hill with red stripes.
